How To Measure Your Walls

Measuring for wallpaper is easier than you think - all you need is the width and height of the walls you're going to cover, at their tallest and widest points.

Follow our guide below for some helpful tips.

How to measure a standard wall

For standard walls, it's easy - simply measure the full height and width of the wall, making sure to double check your calculations. So get measuring, and let's transform that plain, blank wall into something beautiful.

How to measure for multiple walls

Height: To ensure you're ordering the right height, it's best practice to always measure the height across multiple walls, this way you are aware of the tallest point in your rooms - will be your final height (Not all walls are perfectly straight or even!)
Width: Measure the width of each wall, then add each wall width together for your total width.
Example: Wall A + Wall B + Wall C = Your Total Wall Width

How to measure with pitched ceilings

If you have a pitched or slanted roof, don't worry - simply measure the absolute tallest point in your room as your final height, all excess will be trimmed away during installation. Don't forget to always triple check your measurements!

Measuring walls with doors & windows

Many walls have windows, doors, cupboards and other fixtures - in order to ensure your pattern lines up, disregard any obstacles and measure the full width and height of your entire wall. Upon installation, you or your installer will trim around these obstacles for the perfect finish.
