We are serious about how our brand could affect the environment - we are conscious and cautious in our day to day production and as a team, we do quarterly reivews on how we can be a more sustainable business and further reduce & improve for the benefit of our future, our children and our earth.

There are no excessive plastics coverings or bubble-wrap used at Olive et Oriel and we continue to investigate further enviro-friendly options as they become available.

In 2021, we reduced our use of plastics by 90% and continue to further investigate and introduce recyclables into our packaging and production methods.

To date our packaging is as recyclable as we can possibly make it (whilst ensuring your products arrive to you in perfect condition.)

We utilise only FSC certified and sustainably sourced solid timber frames and fine art paper.

And we print to order, which means no art print or wallpaper is mass produced avoiding any excess waste!

We constantly review our packaging to ensure we are not only protecting your product, but limiting our harm on the environment as much as possible.

Our inks are all eco-friendly, and our wallpaper ink is No VOC and our wallpapers are PVC-free.

We work tirelessly to ensure our products and packaging limit their impact on the environment and will continue to improve for a better and brighter future.

What is an unframed art print?

We print all art prints on FSC Certified 220g/m2 uncoated premium paper. The paper is age resistant (with our lifetime guarantee) and we have chosen a matte surface without reflections to create a premium look and feel with no glare.

The paper used in our fine art prints is certified by FSC.

These certifications ensure that the trees used in our base product 'fine art paper' have been produced in compliance with the high demands from the FSC Organisation regarding social and environmental sustainability.

What are your art print frames made of?

All Olive et Oriel frames are hand-made using sustainably sourced, FSC certified solid timber.

Our frames boast crystal clear professional framing acrylic faces (this is both stronger, clearer and of far superior quality to glass or perspex)

All clear surfaces do have some reflection, this is unavoidable - we do not coat our acrylic in 'non-reflective film' as these products whilst they may some-what reduce reflection, they will alter the colour and vibrancy of your artworks.

The back of our frames features mould-resistant white foam core board for the longevity of your art prints (no MDF!)

Frames arrive ready to hang, affixed with unique hanging fixtures.

What is your canvas made of?

All canvas artworks are printed on our premium base product which is a 330g/m2 poly-cotton matte white canvas.

The canvas is age resistant and we have chosen a matte surface without reflections to create a luxurious look and feel with no glare.

The specially formulated bright white surface, combined with an ultra-smooth coating prevents coating layer breakage during stretch.

We do not offer unframed canvas artworks right now, all canvas artworks are stretched and finished with a beautiful solid timber shadow box style frame.

What are your canvas frames made of?

All Olive et Oriel frames are hand-made using sustainably sourced, FSC certified solid timber.

All canvas artworks are stretched and gallery wrapped over solid timber bracing (no MDF!)

The stretched & gallery wrapped canvas artwork is then finished with a beautiful floating 'shadow box' style solid timber outer frame.

Canvas framed artworks arrive ready to hang, affixed with unique hanging fixtures.

What is your wallpaper made of?

Traditional Paste the Wall

Our paste-the-wall wallpaper is non-woven and eco-friendly with a softly-matte feel our wallpaper boasts.

Self Adhesive Peel and Stick

Our peel-and-stick wallpaper is an eco-friendly woven fabric wallpaper with self-adhesive backing made of 100% polyester with adhesive backing.

Will my purchase look like it does online?

All Olive et Oriel products are produced from the same design files as shown in our online imagery - however it is important to remember that some colours can appear slightly different online compared to once printed. This is due to varying factors such as screen brightness / screen settings and the device you are using.

To be safe, we offer returns & exchanges on artworks, art prints and framed canvas - within 30 days of ordering.

We strongly suggest you order a sample of wallpaper prior to ordering your full wall, as these products are not available for a refund, exchange or return.

Can I remove & re-hang my wallpaper?

Traditional Paste the Wall Wallpaper once it has been applied to the wall and the paste has dried, it cannot be repositioned or rehung.

Self Adhesive Peel and Stick Wallpaper is designed to be removable and reusable however this is dependant on your environment and whilst it is designed for this, we cannot guarantee it to be so under and and all circumstances due to underlying factors such as but not limited to the skill of installation, wall preparation, layers of paint on your wall, types of paints used or any other local environmental factors.

How do I remove the wallpaper?

Traditional Paste the Wall Wallpaper is designed to last for many years - if you do need to remove it, this can be done by steaming and scraping it from the wall - you may wish to engagent a wallpaper installation specialist for this; kindly note that cosmetic damages to the wall may occur and in most cases in unavoidable.

Self Adhesive Peel and Stick Wallpaper can, in most cases be removed easily by slowly and gently peeling it away from the wall. This wallpaper type can be a wonderful option if you live in a rental space or plan to update your room again in the near future! Kindly note however that cosmetic damages may occur based on your initial wall preparation and skill of installation, unfortuantely this is at times unavoidable.

How wide is each strip / panel of wallpaper?

All strips / panels of wallpaper are 70cm (27.5 inches) wide, we cannot alter this due to our production methods.

Each strip / panel is numbered (bottom of each panel; Col 1, col 2, col 3 and so-on) so you know exactly how the wallpaper installation flows (we strongly recommend you lay out the panels and inspect prior to commencing installation).

Wallpaper heights can be customised to your requirements, however the width of your wallpaper needs to be a multiple of 70cm due to the above reason.

All artworks are printed in Australia utilising full photolithograph inkjet nozzle engineering with 12-colour all pigment inks, which are designed specifically for producing high-end professional fine art prints with absolute colour accuracy. 

We believe in our new & improved professional printing & framing process so much we're willing to offer you a lifetime guarantee on all framed artworks purchased from 2021 onwards against fading or discolouration. If you feel your artwork has faded or desaturated - we will replace it.

You will need to provide clear, well-lit photos for assessment.

Returns & exchanges

30 Day Change of Mind 

We want to make sure your art is perfect for your home! If you change your mind, have ordered an incorrect size or require any colour alterations to better suit your space - you can return the art to us within 30 days for a store credit or exchange.  

The returned product must be unused, in its original condition, and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new.

The purchaser will be responsible for paying postage & tracking costs associated with returns under this policy unless a prior agreement is reached.


Returns & exchanges are strictly only available on full-priced framed art, framed canvas, unframed art prints & posters (excludes any and all sale, promotional offers, VIP trade pricing or bulk discounted and bundle offers). Due to the custom made nature of wallpaper products there are no returns, refunds or exchanges, all sales are final on wallpaper and wall mural products.

Returns procedure

In order to take advantage of your rights under this returns policy, you must initially inform us of your intention to return or exchange. Please email to organise this.

Any product returned to the wrong address will be considered not received and no store credit will be granted.

Olive et Oriel are not responsible for lost packages or items that are damaged in return shipping, we strongly suggest you pack all items carefully and track all items when posting.

Please include full name and order number to avoid any delays in processing your return.

Can I return or exchange my wallpaper?

We create each wallpaper and wall mural to each customer's unique wall dimensions and as such, we can't accept any returns, refunds or exchanges once a wallpaper or wall mural has been purchased.

We strongly suggest our easy 5 step ordering process and pre-purchase checklist is thoroughly read and adhered to prior to ordering to avoid disappointment.

Always order a wallpaper sample to ensure the product, pattern and style is what you are after. As once you have processed your wallpaper or wall mural order you cannot make any alterations to your purchase.

Always triple check your wall dimensions prior to placing your order and ensure you are completely happy with your choice before completing payment as all wallpaper and wall mural sales are final.

Replacements / Damages

In the unlikely event that your artwork arrives damaged in any way, we will replace it. Please contact us within 7 days to organise your replacement.

You will be required to provide photos of:

• All external damages to packaging

• Damages sustained to the product
