Made by our own framers · Central Coast, NSW

What’s Inside Every Frame

Most framed art is judged by its front. Ours is built to be judged by what you can’t see: the materials behind the print that decide how it looks in ten years.

Solid Timber, No MDF

Every frame is solid timber all the way through, cut and joined by our own framers. There is no MDF anywhere in the build, so nothing sags or swells with humidity over time.

Thick Acrylic Glazing

Crystal clear acrylic matched to the size of the piece, up to 4mm on our largest frames. Thin glazing bows outward in summer heat. Ours stays flat and true.

Rigid Framing-Foam Mount

Your print is mounted on rigid, acid-free framing foam board, the professional standard, so the artwork never ripples, bubbles or pulls away from the glazing.

Archival Pigment Inks

Printed with 12-colour pigment giclée inks made to hold their colour for decades, even in bright Australian rooms.

Taped, Finished Back

The back is sealed with framing tape and fitted with hanging hardware before it leaves us. Turn one of our frames over and it looks as considered as the front.

Made For Your Order

Printed and framed at our own Central Coast manufacturing facilities after you order. Your piece is made for you, not pulled off a shelf.

The Questions Worth Asking Anyone Selling Framed Art

After nearly 12 years of framing, these are the questions that sort genuine craftsmanship from a pretty product photo. Ask them anywhere you shop. Here are our answers.

Where is the frame itself made, and is there MDF in it?
A lot of framed art sold in Australia is an imported ready-made frame with a print dropped inside, often with an MDF backing board, which does not make it Australian made. Our answer: every frame is cut and joined from solid timber by our own framing professionals on the Central Coast of NSW, with no MDF anywhere in the construction.
What is the print mounted on?
The mount is what keeps a print perfectly flat behind the glazing. Soft adhesive foams ripple and let go over time. Our answer: rigid, acid-free framing foam board, the professional framing standard.
How thick is the acrylic glazing?
This one matters more than most people realise. Acrylic that is too thin bows and warps outward in hot summer months. Our answer: we match acrylic thickness to the size of the piece, up to 4mm on our largest frames, so it stays flat year round.
Are the inks archival?
Standard inks fade noticeably within a few years, especially in bright rooms. Our answer: 12-colour archival pigment giclée inks, made to hold their colour for decades.
Who made it, and who fixes it if something goes wrong?
A frame should outlast the trend cycle it was bought in. Our answer: we have been making framed art for nearly 12 years, and pieces we made a decade ago are still hanging in the homes they were made for. If anything is ever wrong with the way your piece was made, talk to us and we will make it right.
