How to apply kids wall decals
Applying a fabric wall decal is genuinely straightforward. Most customers have their design on the wall within ten minutes of opening the packaging — no professional, no tools, no stress.
Expert tips for best results
After 10+ years of manufacturing fabric wall decals and hearing back from thousands of customers, here's what actually makes the difference:
Paint matters more than most people expect. Our fabric decals perform best on eggshell or satin paint finishes. Flat/matte paint is more porous and can reduce adhesion over time. If you're on a flat finish, do a small test patch first.
Temperature affects application. Apply in a room above 15°C — cold walls cause the adhesive to stiffen and reduce initial stick. Warm rooms give you more working time to reposition.
If an edge lifts, don't pull it — press it back firmly with a flat card or smoothing tool. If it keeps lifting, a small piece of double-sided tape behind the edge will hold it permanently without wall damage.
Cleaning tip: Wipe gently with a barely damp cloth if needed. Do not scrub — the fabric surface is durable but not waterproof.

Step by step
Step 1 — Prep. Clean, dry wall — fully cured (4 weeks after fresh paint).
Step 2 — Peel. Gently peel the backing from a corner and work slowly.
Step 3 — Position. Hold to the wall and adjust — fabric doesn't commit on first contact.
Step 4 — Smooth. Press from the centre outward to remove air pockets.
To remove: Peel back slowly from a corner. No residue. No wall damage.
