Proper wall preparation is crucial for ensuring your decals adhere correctly and stay in place. Without the right preparation, decals may fall off, especially if the wall has been painted with washable or stain-resistant paints.

1. Clean and Smooth the Surface

• Make sure your walls are clean, smooth, and completely dry before applying decals.
• Remove any dust, dirt, or grease using a mild cleaner and allow the surface to dry thoroughly.

2. Use Viponds Self-Adhesive Prep Coat
For the best results, apply Viponds Self-Adhesive Prep Coat to your walls before adding decals.

• Why is this important? Viponds creates a bond-friendly surface, ensuring strong adhesion for your decals. Without it, decals may not stick properly and could peel off over time.
• How to Apply: Follow the instructions on the Viponds product, applying an even coat to your wall. Allow proper drying time before applying decals.

3. Freshly Painted Walls
If your walls have been recently painted, allow a minimum of 30 days for the paint to cure before applying Viponds or decals. Applying too soon can affect adhesion and may result in paint damage.

4. Test a Small Area First
If you’re unsure about your wall’s compatibility with decals, test a small area with one decal before committing to the full application. This ensures you’re happy with the adhesion and appearance.
