Warlukurlangu Artist Community
At Olive et Oriel, we are honored to collaborate with Warlukurlangu Artists, a renowned Aboriginal art center celebrated for its vibrant, colorful acrylic paintings and limited-edition prints. With a national and international profile, Warlukurlangu's stunning works have been featured in hundreds of exhibitions and publications worldwide. The name Warlukurlangu, meaning "belonging to fire" in the Warlpiri language, pays homage to a fire dreaming site west of Yuendumu, deeply connecting each artwork to its cultural origins.
Founded in 1985, Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation is a 100% Aboriginal-owned, not-for-profit organization representing artists from the remote desert communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi in Central Australia. Proceeds from every sale go directly to the artists and their community projects, fostering sustainability and cultural preservation. Supported by the Australian Government through the Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support, Warlukurlangu Artists is a beacon of cultural storytelling and creative excellence.
Through this partnership, Olive et Oriel is proud to offer a collection of breathtaking works that celebrate Aboriginal artistry and storytelling. Each piece invites you to connect with Australia's rich cultural heritage while supporting Indigenous artists and their communities. By choosing Warlukurlangu art, you’re bringing not just beauty into your space but also the spirit and tradition of the world’s oldest living culture.
